What to do with leftover cabbage wather?

I cooked a tonne of bacon & cabbage last night, and have about two pints of the water/stock sitting in the fridge. I don't want to throw it away because it's so tasty, but I can't just drink the pint of it because that's ridiculous. (maybe a wine glass of it).

Is there anything I can do with it? Make some sort of soup maybe?

Boil your spuds in it, mash em and pour some more on top...tasty!

If you like to collect skeletons, cabbage water is very nutritious for the sort of bugs that will clean the remains from the skeleton. Simply leave the skeleton in cabbage water for a few weeks and voila, clean skeleton.

Alternatively, add some to soup, though not too much, you might not want very cabbagey soup. You could freeze down half pints of it for making gravys or soups in the future too.

I don't see why not, we used to have a glass of it with dinner.

It's good to know, though, for, um...... totally legitimate reasons. Hehe, hehehe.

I ended up making rice with it. Mmm, cabbagey bacon rice.
