    Hi All

I've been called for an interview for an IT Support Engineer position with Lidl.I know there are a number of posts here about working for Lidl but they mostly refer to manager type roles.I was just wondering if anyone is working in the IT area for Lidl and how they find working there

    Thanks

Hiya I don't know of anyone who have taken up a position in the IT department for lidl but just wondering if they said this position was advertised at any point online or in stores? They just rang you up then?

Best of luck with the interview!

I've had an ex and some friends that worked for them before and seemingly they're great to work for. They pay well and you'll be expected to work hard for it ;)

Lidl are a food employer. You will be expected to work hard, occasional long hours. In exchange you will be well paid, generous benefits and have plenty of room for advancements down the line.

The managers (non-store) and executives are generally quite young in comparison to other company's. They are more interested in ability then experience and prefer to promote people they know from within etc,.

In general they are a very decent employer and I would recommend meeting them for the interview. You'll be worked hard, but the rewards are there to justify it.

I applied for the same job many years ago.

Had two interviews but it seemed apparent that I would have to spend a year at least in a store "learning lidl"

I also got the feeling work life balance was not something they knew much about.

Maybe things have changed . Best of luck!
