2011 Octavia Spark Plugs & Leads Replacement

    Hi guys, other halfs 2011 octavia petrol 50k kilometers played up Friday morning on her way to work. Had been driving fine no issues was serviced at main dealer 2 months ago. She was driving along and lost power she said it was like trying to drive at 20mph in 5th gear EPC light came up on dash. She pulled in turned car off restarted and drove fine for around 10 minutes same thing happened again. She was in town so dropped car into main dealers as it was only 5 minutes away. When she turned it off engine management light came on and dash display said engine management problem report to service.
    Anyway dealer rang this morning saying it was spark plug and leads issue 230e thanks very much. Is two years not a very short time for spark plug issues and would the problems described above be associated with spark plugs and leads.

    My car has a 90000 km spark plug interval.
    You sure it wasnt a coil pack? These sit on the plug and are a common enough issue on some models and can fail at random intervals.

    Thanbks for reply Mick. You could be right it was herself they rang this morning with diagnosis. I might try and get in to collect the car myself this evening to see talk to the service guy. Would costs of 230e be around right for a coil pack it that is the issue given it is the main dealer that has it. Its just two months out of warranty as well! which is a pain.

    Dont know what a fair price would be but no doubt they fitted plugs too so probably around the price. 2 months outside warranty, id be looking for them to cover alot of the coil cost plus labour.
