Fill out a few instant online quotes. Chill.ie and the likes. Without a full licence it will be crippling.

    1) Ring

    2) Insurance companies.

    3) Done - you'll have a proper figure as opposed to guesstimates from here.

Fill out the online quote form then.

Roughly it's 2 to 4k depending on the company and your own situation.

So go do something about it and fill in some online forms. We're not privy to your full circumstances here.

But nobody bar an insurance company can tell you this as there are too many variables on how insurance companies calculate premiums including the individual being insured. Insurance is not calculated from a fixed price menu, it's like asking how long is a piece of string.

I have this piece if string... It'll cost about as much as how long my piece of string is.

    Sorted.

Call few insurance brokers http://www.iba.ie/ they have better deals than the likes of chill.ie and so on.

If your mother has few years ( more than 6 years) without claims then she can insure her car without the claim bonus and insure your car with the claim bonus as the first driver, I know a good broker who gave me a very good quote, PM me if you are interested.

    Please read this thread:

    Insurance FAQ's

And just 'cause im nice, here's the bit that concerns your question:
How much is Insurance going to cost me?

The only person who can give you an answer to that is an Insurance company or a broker. Call them or quote on-line and find out. Nobody here can tell you even a ball park figure due to the variables involved in calculating insurance premiums.

Going to close this, this question is asked multiple times per day, and the answers are always identical. If you have any further insurance related questions, i suggest you post in the thread I referenced above.
