    Hi
Is there any independant garages that can do a software update for the idrive on an e60 535? Mine is malfunctioning and from researching online a software update may solve the problem. It is only the selector that doesnt seem to work right. Like it doesnt click right once when you move it one click to the right it moves like 7-10 clicks right and so on.

    Any opinion or comment?

Yup, the severe warning after I bought it.....
Even if i do need the replacement unit @€;1,500, then the car was still the cheapest 535d around for the past 6 months.

Dublin 12 , work in Ballycoolin (d15) and visit family most weekends near Newbridge in kildare.

Any of those locations would be ideal.

To be honest, you're on the right track asking bmstuff to do it for you. He knows his stuff when it comes to BMW electronics ;)

I think he's in South Dublin too.

    Good good.
I'll see if he replies to the other thread (or this one indeed) in the next while, if not I might chance a PM.

Is the iDrive controller making a buzzing sound?
