so I made a boo boo.

I have wins 7 as a main OS

I did an install of win xp using the disc on a separate partition. now my laptop will only load xp and I dont have a disc for win 7 ... if I get back into win 7 I can get a dual boot thing.

how do I get there ? and get win 7 loaded again ?

Sometimes you get problem on some PC when you try that.If you install win 7 and then winxp .. you need dual boot manager for that.

Download Easy BCD and install it. You can view your boot manager through that. See that you have both boot options enabled. If you see only one click ADD on the left hand side, add in the one you are missing (it might even be the xp one) Make sure that automatically detect drives (or partitions ) is checked. It most likely will be. On the left now is another button called deploy or submit boot record. Hit that and then restart. YOu should be able to boot up into both now.
