    Hi,

I am going to cycle in France for 7 days and would like to use mapmyride for 6-7 hours a day.
Do you know how much data it is going to use ?
I am trying to work out what would be the best option to miminise the cost.
Would I be ok with 25MB per day ?
    Thank you

Turn off your 'Data Roaming' when your out on the bike and then you can sync with it when your finished, no? Even find a wi-fi spot and do that for free??

If you're planning to use it for navigation, you'd be better off pre-downloading the maps and turning off data roaming. MOBAC will download many map sources and will format them for many devices.

I've used it successfully on past holidays with opencyclemap.org and SportsTracker.

Also, be aware that your phone's gps will use data in 'assisted gps' mode. I thought it best to have my provider disable data for me for the duration as there's often no way to be sure your phone's not trying to use data for something.
