Beginner lessons

Hi there. As the title says I am a beginner to golf and am really enjoying it so far even if my scores are still high. I started out last year playing some fairly long par 3 courses in newcastle and athgoe and just recently made the step up to the golf course. I've played 3 times so far and came last each time with scores of 105, 99, and 100.
I've read through a few threads on here and everyone seems to recommend lessons for a beginner and I was just wondering would it be better to look for group lessons or 1 on 1? I'm living in the Tallaght area so I'm close enough to a few driving ranges. Does anyone have any recommendations for an instructer that you think would suit my level?

Just a quick update on this. I went to see Dave Lavelle in the spawell as advised in this thread and found him very helpful. My amount of strokes havnt improved dramatically as I still seem to have 3/4 holes where I lose concentration and have a nightmare. However my stableford points tally improved significantly. I've just been playing with friends and am not a member of a club or society so they usually put me on a handicap of 26. Before the lessons I would usually come in with 25-30 points but this week in Grange Castle I had 39 points from 95 strokes. Was really pleased with my hitting too. Even though I found it a little difficult to judge the distances(overshot a few greens) I was hitting relatively straight. Even managed to get 4 pars(2 par 3's, 2 par 4's) which felt like a miracle to me. :) So to any beginners out there looking for lessons I would recommend Dave in the spawell.
