Saorview combi box

    hi just looking for some help
    i bought 2 saorview combi box sets a couple of months ago, the one i have for downstairs TV is fine, picking up terrestial and FTA satelitte,
    but the box upstairs has dropped most of the satellite channels .... still has terrestial but only receiving about 17 FTA sat channels, I can't understand why as surely they are coming from the same aeriel?

    i've tried reinstalling but no use, still only limited channels,
    I'd welcome any tech advice as I really haven't a clue about all of this

    Swap over the 2 combi boxes and test in the other location to rule out a problem with them.

    If the problem remains at the same location then it could be down to the LNB on the dish or the cabling from there to the receiver. Check the connector at the end of the cable to make sure it's secure.

    Sounds like a cable or connector problem. Maybe loose connector or water has got into the cable. Check the connector at the LNB as well as the box

    thanks for the suggestions, I'll try swapping them today,
    re the loose connection possibility........what is the LNB?

    That little box of electronics at the end of your satellite dish's arm that the cable connects into.
