Teaching Council Conditional Registration Extension

I graduated with a B.Ed in 2011 and have not yet completed my probation year due to not being able to get a teaching position to fulfill the requirements.
As I only have 3 years in which to complete the probation year I am a little worried as this is my last year to do it and I doubt that I will be able to get a job in order to complete it.
I am just wondering has anyone ever requested an conditional registration extension from the teaching council and if so how difficult is it to be granted an extension?

From what I hear you should provide them with evidence of positions you applied for and they grant an extension. Double check with the teaching council to be certain.
