A Colombian thief botched his getaway by running into the path of a bus after stealing a woman's mobile phone at a station.
The would-be robber was hit by the moving bus and fell between the vehicle and the glass doors of an exit at the station in Bogota, Colombia.

Got what he deserved. Thieving B'Stard.

but in an even weirder twist of fate the woman he mugged rescued him form under the bus instead of yelling at the bus driver to drive off

Serves him right for having grown up in a 2nd/3rd world country and having resorted to an act of desperation.

If you watch it in reverse a man rises up from the gutter, forcefully and generously gives a complete stranger a new phone and then just goes and relaxes against a glass wall. Fair play to him.

People who steal a mobile phone deserved to run over by a bus?

    Eh, ok.

Nobody deserves to be hurt . He wouldn't have committed the crime unless he was desperate .

Depends on how bad he got hit. If it was just a whack which knocked him out, that's comedy gold. If he's left crippled for life and he was only stealing to support his quintuplet children, then it's a tragedy.

A comment on the guys probable circumstances and motivation doesn't mean you condone an act.

(unless you're on boards, in which case everything is simplistic)

So I'll take it you want him executed. You heartless murdering capitalist fatcat.

He had to crime all worked out, at 15:23 he would start walking towards bus stop, exactly 100m later he would grab something of value and jump on the 15:25 bus, bus is 30 seconds late, plan ruined.

It was either the bus or have Charles Bronson ( the actor / vigilantie...not the psycho jailbird ) come after him.

Like any assault it was probably drug related, it is believed that it was an ongoing feud, it was the buses patch and it was a well timed professional hit by the bus which would lead us to believe that the bus has a history of such incidents.

Don't you mean "Next stop, Thief" :D

Aside from that, it happened in Colombia, I couldn't give a ****e unless he was packing a kilo of coke that got burst as the bus shoved him into the glass doors. That'd have been a tragedy alright.

Fair dues to the woman for helping him out from under the bus, I don't know if I'd have been inclined to do the same. I'd have frisked him for coke and then done a runner.

Eh, I grew up in a third world country. I'd bet 75% of Boardsies did aswell. Cant recall ever resorting to thuggery out of desperation though. Have a guess which country it is!

You've obviously never been to Ireland or the UK then, people here commit crimes en-masse just for 'fun.'

Seeing as how some f$%^ing scrote lifted my girlfriend's phone out of her bag last night I have to say this is bringing a bit of a smile to my face.

    *Well, maybe not a smile
