Relocating to France, any advice

Hi my husband ( he's French from Provence region) and I (irish) wish to relocate to France, however I have a touch of the fear. I'm a nurse in a specialist area but my French is not good enough for working in France yet. My other half is a holistic therapist and acupuncturist. He's looking into his employment potential and options. In the meanwhile can anyone give me any tips or advice if they've experienced a relocation like this. We have two very young children but will have a lot of support from his large family. Thanks

    Hi Caitrionawa,

I'll move your thread to the Living Abroad forum because I think you'll receive more (and better) advice from members of that forum. Best of luck with your move!

My friend moved over totally - sold her appartments followed her boyfriend. She couldn't get work in her chosen field but had a child and made adjustments to her thinking & what she was expecting & is having a wonderful lifestyle & is totally happy. It was a big change for her-high powered job etc -but now she works part time in a different area & has a reduced salary, gets to see her children & is loving it.

    Best of luck to you.
