there's another big thread on this in after hours. it's a ****e street and if he wasn't looking for trouble he would have said ah **** sake and cycled up onto the curb and said **** you as he went past. she's just a mental bitch who was probably too scared to pull behind that car in case it turned into an hour long video of her trying to park

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,517 ✭✭✭Outkast_IRE

That woman is mental " your threatning me , stop attcking me " what a nutcase, this is the sort of person who would tell lies about it all to get you into trouble.

The guys a total knob although we was technically right in this case, look his other videos. He cycles all over the road abusing people for little or no reason, while cars are trying to avoid him. He thinks he owns the road.

Check out 25 secs into this video. He goes's off on one because a Mini driver NEARLY left her lane, while he was in the middle of the lane beside the bike lane.

This guy was completely RIGHT his reaction was probably caused by a build up of encountering dikcs like her everyday I'm a motorist and a very responsible one at that I follow rules of the road every time I get in my car but over the years have developed road rage because I'm seeing it every time I get in my car Galway city has by far the worst drivers in the world I've driven in NewZealand America France England Germany and Italy and galway has worst drivers I've ever seen and its lack of knowledge on roundabouts indicators yellow boxes and things as simple as putting on your lights when its dark SORRY GONE OFF SUBJECT CYCLIST WAS RIGHT CAN'T LET THE LIKES OF HER THINK HER DRIVING IS ACCEPTABLE

While I agree that this cyclist doesn't always do himself any favours - the cycle lanes in that video are ridiculously narrow. Staying out of them on a bike is probably a good idea.

In fairness to me it looks like a one way street and if she is from Kerry like the car reg how is she supposed to know that.

The cyclist was looking for an issue and if it wasn't that women im sure it would be someone else

The cyclist is a knob on the other evidence but I gotta love you guys who say 'just tut tut and give a disapproving glare'. Do you really think that a disapproving glare would even register with an absolute moron like that bitch is?

I had a stand off with a taxi driver once (car-to-car) the traffic was on his side and he saw me coming but still drove up and jammed me in expecting me to mount the kerb on my side. Here's exactly where it happened. He was angrily gesturing me to mount the step and I just thought to myself 'not-fucking-today-pal' - I looked at him removed the keys from the ignition dangled them so he could see and dropped them on the floor. So he shrugged his shoulders as if to say 'I'm not moving either'. I just thought to myself 'the only way this car will be moved is if someone smashes the window and drags me out'.

So the traffic is starting to build up and start honking their horns behind me and a smarter driver had formed a queue back where the moron should have stopped and some cars were filtering off to avoid the standoff. Well you can guess what happened next.

It reflects poorly on both of them tbh, pair of idiots! Must be around D4 with line of cars that were behind her.

He is overtaking other cyclist, so where else could he be?

Totally agree that the cyclist is over-reacting to a fairly minor situation.

But that crazy windbag in the car my God what an absolute dope.
"I'm a woman driver and I'm being threatened". What the heck is that
all about. Disgrace to your gender.

Watch the clip again and point me to the time where he is actually in the bike lane then?

Cyclist is actually right, the driver was on the wrong side of the road so the cyclist has right of way.

    From 1:20.

Before that he was either overtaking other cyclists, or later keeping his space to overtake a stopped bus.

He is cycling rather fast, and I believe he would have to slow down few times if he was on the cycling lane.

He was in the right, rules of the road wise, but it was an over reaction that achieved nothing, except delay a lot of people who did nothing wrong.
He could have just given her the finger or something and been on his way.

That cycle lane looks ridiculously narrow - would seem to be merely an excuse for dangerous overtaking by motorists.

she's on the wrong side of the road, how is the cyclist to blame? she wouldn't have reacted to a car that way if asked to get over to her own side!

He's not, he's still outside it the whole time. You can tell because somebody passes him in the cycle lane at the lights.

The other cyclists overtake and go right back into the bike lane, that guy never once enters it.

    What overreaction?
He saw car coming towards him so he stopped.
He made some gestures and said few f... words, but driver couldn't even hear that at this stage.
Then eventually he went on pavement to pass the car, when drive opened the door and started the argument.

If he knocked on the driver door to open the window so he could tell what he thinks of her - then yes - this could have been overreaction.
But it looks like it was actually lady driver who started the conversation.

Yes that is standard safe cycling practice where you meet dodgy cycle lanes.
