JS Repeats

Anyone know exactly how strict they are about 'no repeats in third year' for TSM students? I do English and Maths, and I'm positive I have done very well in every exam I have had so far, but I cannot see myself getting above the required 30% for my final exam, the material is very complicated and I really don't understand it. Will I have to repeat the year, even though I have gotten all other 55 out of 60 credits for the year, or does anyone know what happens? Seems a bit unfair that can have done so well in everything else, and fail the year because of one overly-complicated module

Best thing to do is contact the course office by email to be honest, they are usually very helpful!

It's nearly impossible to know, because they judge everything on a case-by-case basis (so sometimes if someone gets sick during an exam they're allowed repeat it and sometimes they aren't "because they've already opened the paper".). They are unlikely to give you repeat exams though - there simply are no repeats for JS or SS TSM.

If you're seriously worried, contact your tutor now and see what can be done. If you've done well in everything else, they might allow you to compensate or something. Everything about exams and appeals is judged case-by-case, so no-one can really say what they might allow you do. But email your tutor or the head of department as soon as possible, they're there to help and they're the ones who'll help you sort it out if you need it.

    Good luck :)
