    Hey y'all,
I've had a trading account with fxcm since sharewatch closed down. Unfortunatley, I don't log into my account too often (no real reason to) and discovered I'm being charged 25GBP a month since xmas... Not good

Can anyone recommend an alternative provider which doesn't "nail you" for having an idle account - 1/2 trades per year?
    Cheers

if it's just shares then most charge an quarterly fee. £25/mth is a get lost fee - they don't want your business as they don't earn enough commission from your trading. I like these guys in the UK

    http://www.tddirectinvesting.co.uk/choose-an-account/rates-and-charges

    £12.50 + VAT per quarter
    or
    £0 No fee when you:
place 1 or more trades per quarter
have an individual portfolio valuation of £15,000 or more
have a Funds (Unit Trusts/OEICs) valuation of £10,000 or more
    have a Tradin

I was on the phone to Saxo today and they have no annual charge so i guess I'll probably go with those lads. Their trade fees seemed pretty cheap aswell.
