Hi, I had planned to do the ww200 this year but due to lack of training I dont feel I would be ready for it at all so was wondering if there are many other events like this during the summer, perhaps around july/august. ww200 would have been my first one so gutted i'm not going to be doing it but would love the chance to properly train and get prepared for a sportive later in the summer

I presume you know you can do the 100 km route instead?

Do the 100k instead and will give you idea of how the 200 is run (*****)
Also the likes of the Sean Kelly TOW is well run

-Leinster Loop mid August I think - http://www.leinsterloop.com/.
-3 Peaks Challenge run by Naas Cycling Club -usually around early July

I enjoyed all those three sportives last year

The Tour de Kilkenny is worth a look, one of my favourites. August weekend from the rugby club just outside kilkenny. The 100 Km is tough and the 160 is unforgiving, well run and for a good cause.
