Maybe it could be just the photos but the boot lid and driver's door look a different shade of blue to me.

    Attractive 98 WW Reg
    Lol!

Great cars in general though. Used to have a similar one (without turbo) and loved it. I think that car has the B204 engine. Sturdy engine and good for tuning, no sludge issue either.

These suffer from possible fractured firewall. Symptoms are that the pedal box sligtly moves when steering is turned when the car is stationary. Many have updated steering rack mounts that prevent the issue and make steering sharper.

The factory internals on B204 can take 600 hp if you're interested in that sort of thing, i.e. they are a very strong engine and don't suffer from sludging in the extent of 9-5/original 9-3. This car looks like a very nice specimen btw. It's over 15 years old, maybe a bonus for insurance?

I had a 900 turbo myself exact same as the ad only slightly lighter shade of blue..

The mid range turbo shove is very addictive .
Id get 40mpg on a decent motorway spin in perfect comfort.

Only things wrong from my own exp was gear linkages could be hard to find as there was a nack going from 3rd instead of 5th but ya soon get used to it.

everything else worked perfect bar pixels over radio display & there are so many toys to play with.

The car in the ad isnt an Aero its an SE high pressure turbo , the seller must be kinda eccentric going by Attractive 98 WW Reg wtf?

The performance is pretty good but these handle even worse than the vectra A chassis they are based on somehow..

as for the bulkhead flex check if the pedals & steering wheel watch the rack for movement as his assistant waggles the s/wheel.

Hard to make it out in ad but looks like high reg plate so prob imported so have an extra careful look under for rust & a possible HPI / Cartell etc test done..

Great cars when running right & having been well maintained like this one seems to have been..Timing Chain afik so one less thing to worry about..I miss my old 900 something terrible but my next Saab will be a 9000 Aero manual.

I bought a '97 Saab 900 a couple of months back. Its the S talladega model. 102k on the clock, cloth seats, but runs fine. Using it for a banger rally in july. No major issues with it, but it only cost €400, so yours at 1750 is a bit on the high side.
