Biology - Higher Level - SEC Sample paper: Question 12 (c)
(iii) In what units did you express the rate of photosynthesis?
This question is in relation to the photosynthesis experiment about light intensity, but there is no mention of any units of measurement for photosynthesis is the biology book, also there isn't a marking scheme available for the sample paper. It's truly puzzling! Does anyone have any idea what the answer is? :)

    No of bubbles per minute

That's what I was thinking, but is that really a unit of measurement? Thank you for replying :)

Yes it's fine, time is on the x axis and number of bubbles is on the y so it's one divided by the other. Same as if it was distance vs time, ud have m/s.
im a bio teacher it's come up in a few mocks over the years

Light intensity is 1/d^2 isn't it ? If so would it be m^-1 ?

There are lots of units for light intensity which im not that familiar with but the 2007 marking scheme ( q9) has bubbles or volume per unit time as the solution so that's what I'd be inclined to go with
