It's open to anyone in a swim club and are registered with swim Ireland. Only then will you be able to have a crack at it. Lovely swim, did it many a time. It's normally run on the August bank holiday weekend but its early this year.

You swim from lower Salthill up to the diving board. There is buoys put out but they are only a guide, you don't have to keep them to your right. The race is handicapped, this race will also count as one of your four to qualify to swim in the Liffey swim/Dun Loaighaire Harbour swim.

Some people might not like responding to texts, why not ring Andrew.

Ah prob not much point, Tri club and TI registered, assuming the cost of registering for Swim ireland and a swim club would be a bit much for just doing the one race. Thanks anyway

fyi it's about 35 quid to get swim ireland membership through a club which would cover you. might not be worth it but just so you have information.
