Just wondering, could someone study CIMA at home self study from material on websites etc?

Without having to pay for lectures which can be extremely costly..

    Any info appreciated,

    Thanks

    Just found CIMAstudy.com..

Still quite costly at £99 per course subject..5 in certificate level.

Would this be the best value and what is the content like compared to lectures?!

I would regard myself as an average student. I wasn't able to pass exams without attending lectures.

you might get some of the cert level exams done with distance learning but as you move up through the exams I think lectures are a necessity.

Cima have recently introduced a "blended" learning program in some of the ITs around the country. I think its distance learning with some lectures every few weekends to make sure you're on the right track. Might be on in your area?

You should be able to manage the operational level without coolege and possibly the management level but you would need tuition for the strategic and topcima.

    Hi
Im about to start studying for the CIMA Strategic level exams in Nov 13 and I need to get the study texts.

The results are out soon so hopefully someone will be looking to offload their Strategic level study texts etc. Im in Dublin.

Also can I ask some advice please ; I can't commit to doing lectures for all 3 exams as I have a full time job and kids. I have to sit all 3 but I was thinking of concentrating on 1 or 2 of them but I dont know which one/ones are best to do first.

Any comments would be very helpful.

Thanks and best of luck to all with results!!!
