Have one for 3 weeks now. I love it but I've nothing to compare it against as it's the first modern road bike I've ever had. Some difference to the hybrid I had previously though. So far the furthest I've gone is 70kms and I find it very comfy and light.

Ive had a defy 4 for 2 years no problems with it.

Got a Defy 4 with a Sram Apex crankset instead of the triple. Good bike, not the lightest by any means (crazy heavy stock wheels!), but I find the geometry great and it handles very well

Just bought the Defy 3 today. Won't have it for a week or so though. Never had a road bike before! Realy looking forward to getting out and about on it.

I have a Defy since March. I have done about 1200km and find it great, really comfortable and responsive.
The Defy was voted Bike Radar's Bike of the Year 2013 http://www.bikeradar.com/road/news/article/bike-of-the-year-2013-giant-defy-advanced-2-36592/

Defy's always get reviewed well. The defy 1 has some decent components too by the look of it so your getting yourself a great bike. I have a defy composite 1 among other bikes and its by far my favourite for the longer rides. you might need to swap the saddle though the one that came with mine was terrible and the tyres were swapped out pretty quickly
