sky HD+ box help please

    when i turn my box off at night and then turn it on in the morning i just get a blue screen and the banner is searching for listings i have to turn it off and back on to start watching

    have i got something set wrong

    As far as I know the sky box takes about 4 minutes to boot properly.

    Until then you just get the blue screen saying searching for listings.
    .

    By turning off, do you mean putting it in standby or turning off at the mains?

    Same happens here. I change channels and that gets everything back to normal.

    I usually don't turn it off at the mains, and just power it off with the remote control. It's easier.

    anyone know why my sky box... non /sub ..just freesat wont let me into other channels when i go into services .it asks me to insert my sky card...also if i plug my saorview aerial into the sky box will i get these channels ???

    The other channels must be pin protected,do a full reset of the box to wipe the protection.If it's a HD box press SERVICES-0-0-1-SELECT to get the installers menu & use the option for a reset.

    Plugging an aerial into the box will give you nothing-it's a satellite receiver.
