Numb Hands..!!!

So I was out for a ride on Sunday and after 20k or so both my hands went totally numb, which was weird as I haven't recently changed my setup and I don't usually suffer from this.. I shook the numbness out and continued along and it came back shortly after.. weird.. Roads were fairly bumpy but not too bad...
Anyone have any explanations or similar experiences..?

If no change in set up, same bar tape and gloves, maybe at a guess over inflated front tyre on rough roads?

Yeah, my tyre wasn't any harder than usual... I was however using gloves that had just been washed and dried on the radiator..?? maybe they were a bit hard...
I'm doing a big one on Sunday so hopefully it won't reoccur..

Maybe the gloves have shrunk? Might be too tight and cutting off blood supply.

If this happens again get someone to look at your position.

Your saddle may be too far forward.

Too far forward...? Interesting... I did change saddle position (changed to zero setback seatpost) but that was a few months back and I've done a lot of trouble free mileage since then...
How would it be affecting my hands..?

The forward saddle position results in too much weight on your arms, versus your pelvis.

This often results in a deviation (bending) in your wrists, resulting in impaired blood flow to the fingers & hands.

    Don't ignore this.
