Hi all. Anybody any tips/tricks/must sees for Brussels? Heading over on Ryanair tomorrow evening (Charleroi then bus to city centre) and coming back Sunday lunchtime. Not a huge amount of time but I figure there might be a couple of things people would recommend?

    Go to Bruges

Seriously! Didn't like Brussels at all, did a 2 hour hop on hop off bus tour which was fine, then we got the train to Bruges (30 mins) and it was great.

Deffo go to Bruges. The trains run every half hour or so & the journey is only 50 mins or thereabouts. The station is not far from the main square, and it is a very small & compact city to walk around and explore. If you get sick of walking, there are bus tours and canal boat tours that you can go on to see the out lying regions too. Over all, its is a much, much better place to spend a day in than Brussels imo.

Delirium beer bar is a must if you like beer.

What made you want to go there? What are you planning to do that you've found out yourself? Do you like museums, beer, chocolate, bondage warehouses?

Drink lots of lovely, gorgeous, belgian beer. Get some Kwak into you, then head out to Brugges and check out the Zot brewery.

    I'm seriously jealous. :(

    Go to Celtica.

Its like Coppers but with marginally more foreigners. The beer is dirt cheap and you may get the shift.

Celtica is a great spot for a cheap beer and worth visiting but comparing it to Coppers is disgraceful!

Not really. Have you been there at 5am on a Sunday morning?
