    Hello all,

Looking for some info and help. I currently live in an apartment block where we can only get UPC. I want to get rid of UPC television but keep Broaband. They have once again raised the price by another 5 euro a month and for whats on is not worth it.

I was hoping someone could advise me what my options are in relation to maybe a free to air satellite box or maybe one of those apple tv boxs. I really am clueless when it comes to this. Any info greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Are you allowed to install your own satellite dish or is there a communal dish on the apartment block?

You will require a satellite dish to access the FTA sat channels.

AerTV provide all Irish Channel via the internet so if you have a smart TV you should be able to access them on www.aertv.ie (they also have a plus service which supplies some of the UK channels, however they are free via Satellite).

Sky provide a light version of Sky TV via www.nowtv.com, though it seems to be just about movies and sports.

Do you have a south/south east facing balcony or window?

See this thread for some options
