In My Honest Opinion

I started this thread to find people who have opinions on events in life.
I hope to keep this thread simple, so people get a basic idea of what you are trying to say.
This thread is a general idea page, not written in stone fact.

I hope what i am trying to say is clear because I feel I might not be wording it right.. was hoping to keep it shorter too...

I came across the idea that every recession is caused by an over education of the general public and a lack of places for these qualified people to be. This causes a media hysteria de-motavting an entire generation to accept what you have(it could be worse) instead of encouraging our people to develop their mind and help develop our country.

I think the problem inside of Ireland is that there aren't enough jobs for educated people, there's plenty of jobs if you're willing to go abroad. The majority of people I know that went to college are in oz or Canada atm. All of them have degrees.

We aren't lacking educated people in Ireland. It's the problem of a small scattered population with Dublin being the only true city. There just isn't the business opportunities for entrepreneurs inside of Ireland.

I think too many people have been educated to be very gullible obedient sheep, they are easily herded and wholeheartedly believe everything the government and MSM tells them .

Its a couple of things combined I suppose.
We lost loads of credit with the whole banking farce recently. So money is tight now for small countries.Bigger countries have more resources to pitch towards bigger debts, to increase production when they want.

We have some resources in Ireland but apparently not enough money to harvest them. And we are getting screwed on the royalty I would imagine.

Right now the government are giving tax breaks, in areas like IT and digital media.
And keeping the minimum wage low, helps to promote foriegn companies moving in.

We are basically stuck in a credit squeeze.

I dont think having too many overskilled workers is the issue regarding recessions.
There was a lot of money floating around globally and then one year, somebody took it :)

The global financial system caused the recession by design, wether accidently or purposefully.
The system is on its last legs.It gets incrementally inflated.
Also with global populations rising, there are generally more people competing for more things.
Oh and more machines stealing jobs! = a need for more highly skilled/educated workers.

    college education != a job.

We are a small island nation it can only support so many architects, software developers and medical bio-engineers.

Also a lot of the press coverage about irish not having skills etc is bollox. the jobs they are going on about are mostly ****ty customer service jobs where not only do you have to put up with sh1t in english you also have to put up with it in finnish/german/french/spanish!

You're young, leave the country, earn a good living, learn more about what you wanna do and then come back if you want.Leaving ireland is not a big thing.

As opposed to what hysterical, irrational and fantastical conspiracy theory websites tell them? You seem to think that reading non-mainstream source of opinion makes you not gullible, but you're just as gullible as the 'sheep' you speak of

    PS What's MSM?
