Revenue Offline failing to load

    Long, long, long story.

    Short version - a few months back I fired up the offline application and it told me I needed to download new forms and a new version of the program, so I did. Then I fired it up again and it told me I needed to download new forms and a new version of the program. Repeat several times over a week or so as I couldn't remember whether I had clicked the link or not.

    I called the helpline and they said "Oh, yeah, sometimes it does that. Try uninstalling, downloading the new version and reinstalling".

    So I did that. Now the application won't even launch. The ROS program group doesn't even appear, but the application is there in c:\program files (x86)\ros. When I click on the exe nothing happens. No error, no log (that I can find), nothing in windows event logs, nada.

    It's doing my head in.

    I will ring them again, and I really, really hope they don't say "Oh, yeah, that happens sometimes" again.

    Is anyone familiar with this issue, or even how to check out any logs to see what's failing?
