I've been meaning to go back to this place for a while with Pete4130 to do some 4WDing and shoot some more photos.

This shot is from the Holga.

It took a good 6 months to make it back with a better idea of what I wanted to shoot and how I wanted to shoot it. I've been really lucky on both trips there with dramatic light and skies. No matter how much you shoot there it's never enough.

I got a 40mm lens for my Bronica ETRSi as a birthday present and this was its first outing. I'm really happy with it. The light was pretty changeable on the day and with no built in light meter and shooting on slide it was tricky to keep up with everything.

Both times we've been NooSixty has shot slide. I'm far too lazy to keep a roll of slide loaded in one of my backs. I decided to go for some Tmax 100, that I was ultimately a bit disappointed with. Maybe it was inconsistent scans due to the even toning in the negs or I didn't think the Tmax 100 had the punch I was yearning for (give me Tri-x anyday!).

The 35mm shots were on some cheap Kodak or Fuji 200 in the Nikonos IV (again...)

After seeing Noosixty's slides, I again was incredibly envious of how rich they were with immense detail compared to my negs. We only managed about 4 hours shooting on this trip up instead of a 3 night/2 day trip camping on the dunes that we had planned. Another trip is on the books for sure and I'll be packing some slide next time for sure.
