Am heading over to Westport this weekend, any suggestions for the best Seafood Chowder?

    Thanks

If you can make it out to The Tavern in Murrisk, that would be my recommendation.

    This was covered previous here.

For me Sol Rio, Tavern and McCormacks do a nice chowder as well in their cafe.

Bring a knife and fork there's a lot of eating in it!

'The West' have won Best Chowder in Ireland recently, think they may have won it last year too.

Can't give an opinion myself, I'm more of a bovine man, but herself reckoned it was fantastic.

Confirmed here in the Mayo News.
