    hi all
    can anyone tell me if the 2005 toyota avensis 2.0 d-4d t3-s has a timing belt or chain !!!

    The 2.0 D-4D 116bhp 5 speed had a timing belt afaik. The newer 2.0 D-4D 125bhp 6 speed in the facelifted model has a timing chain afaik.

    2005 avensis 2.0 diesel (engine code: 1CD-FTV) has timing belt.

    Just incase you don't know that T3-S is a UK spec so it is an import.

    It means that you need to do detailed background checks around this also. You should do this anyway irrespective of where the car originally came from but it is very easy and common for UK imported cars to loose their service history and have the mileage altered when they arrive on this shore.

    just back from the garage and the car is in great condition only 1 lady owner on it and it drives like a new car,i was really happy with it, so i done a deal with him and he give me a good price for my car so i am going to take it .
