    Hi Everyone

We were let down for someone to do our wedding cake at the weekend. We had a limited budget and I'm looking to get any suggestions for wedding cake companies who might be good value. The wedding is on the 6th July in Galway.

    Thanks in Advance

Marks and Spencer wedding cakes are pretty nice IMO, plain white decorated so you can add flowers etc to match colour scheme, you can only get plain fruit cakes in ROI as far as I know, but if you ordered from a store in the north you would have a choice of flavours and a choice of decorations (see link). Just did a quick google search there and if you ordered by 5pm tomorrow you could collect on 5 June, maybe someone would pick it up for you? Prices look good, 3 tier for under 200 euro.

Hope you find something suitable, had you ordered anything unusual?

Have you tried Goyas Bakery in Galway? I think they do wedding cakes.
M&S also do wedding cakes if you order from them. Also most hotels will supply wedding cakes if you ask them, so maybe explain your situation to your venue and see what they suggest?
You should also ring this shop 'Stuff4Cakes'. They are located in Lisbaun Industrial Park and they are very helpful if you need numbers for local people that will supply you with cakes. So that is def worth a shot. Here is their number:091 725 585

There is also Grace Daniels Cakes, her cakes are fab. I got my birthday cake from her and it was the most delicious cake I've ever tasted, well worth the extra few pound.
