This was on last night in Cineworld. I've been at a few of these one-off music-related screenings (Iron Maiden: Flight 666, Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage, Foo Fighters: Back and Forth, George Harrison: Living in the Material World and Queen: Hungarian Rhapsody), which have always been well-attended, even sold out, but there were only twenty people at this. Unbelievable.

Maybe it's the age-old Wings "stigma", maybe it's the fact that it wasn't heavily promoted, or maybe it's just that people can't be bothered paying to see it in the cinema when the DVD and Blu-Ray are imminent.

This is a shame, as it sounded amazing and it is a very good record of a time when post-Beatles Macca was arguably at the peak of his powers for the first time since the split.

2024 Gigs and Events: David Suchet, Depeche Mode, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, The Smile, Pixies, Liam Gallagher John Squire/Jake Bugg, Kacey Musgraves (x2), Olivia Rodrigo, Mitski, Muireann Bradley, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Eric Clapton, Girls Aloud, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Rewind Festival, The Smashing Pumpkins/Weezer, Henry Winkler, P!nk, Pearl Jam/Richard Ashcroft, Taylor Swift/Paramore, Suede/Manic Street Preachers, Muireann Bradley, AC/DC, Deacon Blue/Altered Images, The The, blink-182, Coldplay, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Nick Lowe, David Gilmour, ABBA Voyage, St. Vincent, Public Service Broadcasting, Crash Test Dummies, Cassandra Jenkins.
