Hi there Du1, if you could find someone with a copy of PP2000 then you could see which of the 4 sensors is at fault. Could one have been damaged when you replaced them ?

thanks for the quick response Iway ...I dont think they were damaged when they were fitted as they just slotted in not much bother getting them in..I was just wondering would there be some other fault with the asb i got a diagnostic done a while ago and it told me what sensors were gone so i replaced them and about 4 days later the light came on again so replaced the other side and they are still on so alot of head scratching on my end

    Hi Du1,
The only way to find out for sure is to get it plugged in...Most good independent garages will be able to read the fault codes in the abs ecu...if/when you get the fault codes read then post them up here and we'll have a go at finding the root cause...:)

well Row how are you ? thank for getting back to me : ) yea i think i am going to have to take it to someone to get the codes ...i plugged my wee reader in and got some codes but for the abs i will take it to try and get it sorted once and for all,
I got codes up on my reader but its very strange P 2408 the fuel cap sensor code but i replaced that last year can it be gone already ???
and 2 more p 1351 and p1351 pd you told me before that was the glow plugs but they were replaced last year to ????

    Very frustrating
    Cheers once again Row

All is Well Du1...Did the p2408 and p1351 fault codes clear...?
If not then the fuel cap sensor will need to be checked via live data in the additive ecu....it should read "present" when cap is on and "absent" when cap is removed....can't see it failing that fast after replacing..

If all glow plugs are fine then the p1351 code must be generated from the glowplug relay or the supply cable...this will need to be checked.

Post up the C-codes when you get your abs ecu diagnosed...:)

well row i got the diagnostic done on the car with peugeot in armagh i have to say i am very disappointed with the results they said right rear sensor faulty but could not tell me if it was gone they said they would have to take it off and clean it and then see ....the fuel cap sensor they said the fault was intermittent and turned if off ...they said my brakes ( back ) were 90% gone got them replaced today the mechanic said about 50 % would be more like it they gave me no codes very disappointed. and still no further on with the abs problem ??? (p/f to engine ecu need to sort other faults then retest) what ever that means ??

Theres a good chance that the rear right speed (abs) sensor is at fault as the do fail....could they clear the fault..?..if they couldn't then its more than lightly a new abs/speed sensor.

They really should have checked the speed sensor via live data to confirm that its wasn't outputting the correct speed or any speed when driving.

The magnetic ring (which the sensor reads)on the wheel bearing would also need to be checked/cleaned.

My guess is that p/f means "Permanent fault" but when its added the above sentence it doesn't make much sense...

They must have been looking for work if they said the brake pads/discs were 90% worn when they were only 50% worn.....
But remember sometimes mechanics tend to criticize each another when it comes to opinions/fault finding etc...so its hard to call.

Tbh I would fit a rear right speed sensor that the garage diagnosed and once its fitted then the fault should clear without another diagnostics plugin..;)

If you feel up to it yourself then pm me an email address and i'll send you on a guide part numbers etc...:)

Yep replacing both rear abs sensor requires the tank dropped....Its doesn't need to be dropped fully only around 3 inches is enough to fish the abs cable tru..:)
