    Hi all,

Recent thread I started here about going to Vietnam. Anyways prices with lastminute.com look perfect and flights perfect. The return journey is Aer Lingus from London to Dublin. Unsure if this will include baggage or not as terms seem to suggest it wont possibly but again I am unsure.

Any body got experiences with this?

    Cheers,

    Chris85

If it's booked in conjunction with the long haul flight, yes it will.

I would have thought the same when booking through and agent but unsure with lastminute.com. You done similar with them?

Rang lastminute just now and they are brutal on the phone. Complete lack of info, spend 20 mins trying to get the answer as they proceeded to try sell me hotels and different flights when all i asked for was the answer to this simple question.

So they said I may have to pay but could not say if I would get a Aer Lingus reference after booking with them to allow me to book baggage online which is cheaper than paying at the airport.

    Cowboys.

If it's bought as one ticket between Dublin and Vietnam then your bags will be checked through to Vietnam and there will be no Aer Lingus bag fees. It does not matter where you buy the ticket.

Yup. the baggage fees only apply on bookings made with Aer Lingus directly. If you book your trip as one booking as part of a greater journey via another airline/travel agent you won't have to pay for your bag.
