    Hi guys,

On jobseekers allowance at the moment.

    Cohabiting with my partner.

She is about to revive a some of money from her nan who passed on and sold up the old family home.

The money is going into the bank in her name. Will this affect me as capital?

Will I need to tell social and get assessed again?

If you are cohabiting with your partner, your means are jointly assessed, so I'm going to say you will need to inform welfare.

Anything over 20k is assessed as means even if it is your partners. Even if the amount is under 20k its best to let sw know.
