The car has 195/60/16 89VR Michelin Energy Saver, its a really odd size tyre, i'd like to keep a good tyre on it like G/Year, B/stone or Michelin but I wont pay €145 per tyre. Can I change the size to say 205/60/16 or 205/55/16 without the car acting like a spastic.

Im worried that if I change the size ot the tyre the car will have warning lights on or some other stupid feature will activate.

    Any help much appreciated.

Put Uniroyal tyres on a 2008 one last Autumn.... about €100 each and an excellent tyre IMHO. Car feels great in all weather and have yet to get the traction control warning light illuminate with these tyres.

@islanderre did you fit the 195/60/16 or did you go with 205/55/16?

215 55 R16's would be closer in diameter than 205's.
