..text saying something short like "hi" - and then don't bother replying when you text them back. One of my friends constantly does this to me and it pisses me off. Am I alone here?

Normally it's people who are bored. They text you "hi" then expect you to carry the whole conversation. Very annoying.

Would it not be easier to ask him?

Same when someone rings and you miss it, ring straight back like a half second later and they don't pick up.

WTF have you done with your phone in that half second :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Sounds to me that you are thinking or murdering your alledged "friend" and you have posted here in some sick attempt to get support for your act. Give yourself up to the Gardaí op.

My response to a "Hi" text is a "Hi yourself" text, then leave it to them to come back if they wish.

My own personal bugbear is "Are you awake" texts at 3 or 4am in the morning.

If not a woman (yet... 21st century etc) Maybe he's just one of these "caring" people. The last time I remember that happening was with such a person.

You have got to be kidding? I would honestly get in the car and ram the phone up their bottom. Has never happened, jasus, I'd freak.

Next time youre with them in person you should smack the phone out of their hand and stamp on it, really crush it to bits and then proceed to explain why you did it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,880 ✭✭✭razorgil

start doing it to him sporadically, at ungodly hours, and see how he reacts.
