Sound but no Picture

    Turned on TV tonight the irish station RTE 1 2 TV3 etc have no picture but I have sound the other station BBC1 UTV ITV are all okay .. I got a soarview box triax st HD 537 also Freeview . dont know what has happened and dont know if it is the box or the aerial.. any suggestions thanks

    My 5 year old Sony KDL-26V4500 was the same, audio and no video.

    Edit: video just returned at 8:20pm.

    Any idea what happened? Another non Saorview Sony TV appeared to be OK except the audio and video were out of sync at the start of the Song Contest

    Turned on Tv this morning picture and sound returned 45 mins later all Irish station gone again.. stil have other stations. rather confused now..

    Seen this problem with the Triax HD-537 a few times it needs the latest software update to fix the problem with the RTE channels disappearing. However the fix creates a number of problems such as.

    1. Takes approx 5 seconds for the sound to come in once you change the channel, rather annoying in my opinion.
    2. Lose analog text on Channel 4.
    3. Lose Interactive text on BBC channels using the red button.
    4. Box needs to be completely tuned back in once you upgrade the software.

    That AFAIK was discontinued a few months ago (The horseracing "analogue" text service that was on the FTA SD satellite Channel 4 and cable) so not due to box.

    Try tuning in the two encrypted horse racing channels - they still have so-called "analogue" text services (if its for horseracing folk)

    Analog text works perfect on Hd-537 before the update..I wouldnt have posted it otherwise customer made me eat those very words as he has 2...one with old software running and ch4 text on it...so wont allow me to update it...contacted triax a thousand times about it and surprise surprise no reply.
