    Hi everyone,

Im looking to travel to the US over the next few weeks. Im going with a friend and will probably be doing a workaway host type of accomodation ( where you do general work in someones house/business in return for free food and accomodation).
What im wondering is can I enter the US on a one way ticket or must it be return.

I've seen a few different forums talking about this but im still unsure.
I dont want to book a return flight because im not sure if Ill be staying anywhere from 3 weeks up to 3 months ?!

Im in university and must return by september anyway.

    Thanks for any advice !

As long as you show you have enough money to by flights home you're fine. I've never been asked for return flight details or proof of funds when entering the US except when I went over on a M1 visa was asked in the embassy for proof of funds.

Be careful, when I was booking my flights to come over here(USA)
It was actually more expensive to buy one one-way ticket than a return ticket.
I may not use that exact return ticket but it was cheaper than getting it one-way

Yes. Much better of getting a return flight where you can change the return date with minimum cost. Often a one-way flight will cost the same as a return if not more.

If using the visa wavier program you must have a return (or onward) flight booked.
