    I think what you're talking about is the malt liquor that they sell in 40oz bottles in the States, am I right?

    That seems to be an exclusively American thing. Fairly sure there's no such equivalent here, maybe the 2l plastic bottle of cider. I have never seen "forties" of anything on sale here, but then again given their reputation, I can't say I've searched too hard.

    Not sure about off sales but I have tasted it in my local Indian. Sells for €7 or €8 and tastes great with hot food. Packs a punch too.
