Facebook Competition Query

I want people to subscribe to our eBay stores newsletter. Subscribing to the newsletter gains them entry to the comp.

    My question is this:

I know it's against FB rules to create a comp without using a third party app but would this be ok?:

    WIN A ..........

To enter, all you need to do is subscribe to our eBay email newsletter. Click on the link below and hit 'SIGN UP'. It's that simple!

    (insert link)

Followers can only enter the comp by clicking through to the eBay store homepage (an external link) and can then only be entered into the comp if they have an eBay account.

Would this still need to go through a third party app or would it be fine to post on the timeline?

If not, are there any free to try comp apps out there that support access to pages with more than 2000 likes? I looked at Shortstack however it's only free to try if you have less than 2000 likes.

The FB follower doesn't gain entry by entering data into the post itself. The post is simply just notifying people that signing up to our eBay newsletter has the added benefit of going into a draw to win a prize.

Maybe if I worded it differently? Instead of 'click the link to enter a draw', I could say, 'sign up to our eBay newsletter. All subscribers are in with a chance to win a........'. Winners will be notified by email through eBay'.

    Something like that?

Alternatively, what if I was to use our blogging platform to create a post notifying people that subscribing to our eBay newsletter had the added benefit of being entered into a draw to win a ....... and then I just created a post on our Facebook page with a link to the blog post. The Facebook post wouldn't contain any info about the prize or comp, it would just say something like, 'click the link to see why subscribing to our newsletter is such a good idea' etc (something like that). The blog post would contain all the info i.e.

    - 'click the link to our eBay store homepage in order to sign up to our newsletter'

    - 'as well as receiving weekly emails, you will also be entered into a draw to win a ........'

    - 'winners will be notified through eBay'

Would this be fine? There'd be absolutely nothing on Facebook, just a link to our blog.
