    Hi

Another new thread on buying a bike.... Im new to the forum and I was looking for advice in trying to decide on whether to purchase an Avanti Giro 3 or a Corratec Dolomiti Ultegra as my first road bike? The Corratec is on sale and a couple of hundred € dearer than the Avanti. It jsut sounds too good to be true to be getting the Ultrgra at this price.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

Where are you getting the price for the Avanti? Only dealers I can see are in NI.
I like the look of the Avanti over the Corrotec, but the Corrotec has a better spec in places ie, its not a full Ultegra groupset and I've personally never heard of ZZXYZ who make the wheels and other bits.
For me the Avanti is the one I'd buy

What size are you? This is a good option for €950, but they may only have a size 57:

I had a test ride on it, and its very nice - maybe a little bit stiff at the rear if you're mostly on rubbish roads, but it handles very nicely.

    Hi
Im about 5 11" so not sure it would suit...

I'm 6' and it was a perfect fit for me. The BMC sizing guide gives rider height of 178-188cm for the size 57 so in theory you should be OK, but they will give you good advice in the shop anyway.
