    Hi,

So I'm thinking of going to the UK with two young children in July/Aug. Mad you might think, but the weather might fair better than here. We dont want to stay in a hotel and are looking at family parks for kids. I reckon Butlins or Centreparcs are better than Trabolgan in Ireland. We hope to take the ferry also, to eliminate the hassle of flying!

Anyone ever been to either of these family holiday parks and would you recommend? My kids are 2.5 and 8 months. I'm looking for somewhere with plenty of activity for kids and enough for them to do indoors if the weather doesn't permit.

Or any other ideas in Ireland welcome too!

    Thanks!

I'd say your best bet is to check out Trip Advisor Jeeney.

Ive been to centerparcs in Nottingham and whilst I absolutely love it, I think you might want to wait a year or two.

There is stacks to do, especially if you like swimming, but it might be wasted on your kids until they are a bit older.

Have you considered the falcon holidays holiday villages?

I haven't been to Butlins I'm afraid, so can't comment.

Thanks for the comments guys. And yeah, I think you're right fratton fred. We've decided to leave it til the kids are older and would get better value from these places. Will support Irish tourism for another year...despite this weather!! Roll on this summer we're meant to be getting!

Have 2 kids also, 2 & 4 and am trying to find a hotel in Ireland with a kids club for under 5s & pool. Like you, no point going abroad till they are older & will get more out of the facilities.

Anyone got any suggestions for hotel with pool &a kids club to take them for an hour or 2 during the day ?

Westport Woods hotel looks good and is somewhere we have considered. Might be bit pricey but they have kids club and pool and also a creche-like room for tots in evening and another room (unsupervised) in case the creche room is full up.
