Does anyone know how to cAlculate how much floor space we are getting tiled.its 1.1 meter by 8meter. I would have thought that's circa 8sq meters. But one guy estimated it as 12sq meter. & I suppose any idea on cost per sq meter for a tiler? The tiles are standard 1 ft by 1ft. I am supplying grout etc.
Also he thinks the floor needs leveling@150 euros.

if the bloke who said you need levellling is also the person who said you need 12 sq mtrs, I'd go elsewhere.

It's 8.8sq meters so I don't know how he's coming up with 12sq mtrs ???. As for the floor levelling...€150 is a bit steep even if he's supplying the floor leveller (approx €25 per bag). My advice is get more quotes.

8.8 plus 10% it might need levelling but a good tiler worth there salt will be able to level 9 mtrs with the adhesive so I can't imagine it will need adhesive,

He's prob just looking for a good days wages..
