Summer Work

    Hi all,

I recently moved home to a town in the midlands after my 3rd year of college. I've 1 year of college left starting in September and I don't feel I will be able to keep a job up during my course. I do, however, need to find some work for the next few months, to make some money and to stop myself going crazy over the summer.

I've done the rounds in my local town with my CVs and it really doesn't look good, there is nothing around here. My old job told me they'd try to find something in 8 weeks time when some people are leaving but I'm anxious to get started sooner and even that job would be 10-13 hours per week

So my question is: what are my options? What advise can people offer me?

Should I try one of the cities in Ireland or perhaps London? I have basically no money at the minute so If I am to move somewhere I'll need to have a job sorted pretty much immediately. Has anyone been in a similar position and thought of something a bit different that worked out.

    Thanks for any advice

Be prepared to work for free as well or go on internships. That would attract a lot of employers. What sort of area are you studying?

Finance, I was looking into internships but kind of thought that ship had sailed. I'd be willing to do something like that but I really don't have the money to set myself up in a city with no income
