Hi I am thinking of buying a 1985 or up to 1990 3 series convertible and have been looking at some baur manufactured type roof openings.

Is there anything I need to be aware about these as in any major problems or high costs to repair if any problems.

    What is a good price.

Are any of you a proud owner.

Any information would be great thanks.

Rust in the floors, sills and arches is the biggest problem with them,

I'd add the bulkhead to that. And under the windscreen washer bottle.

The worst place for rust is the scuttle panel. You wont find any without rust there unless it has been cut out already.

I'm speaking about the coupes but cant see how it would be different.

EDIT: Oh and the rear pockets. Basically they just rust so catch it early.
