just curious from watching the several sti clinic programs that are on tv at the moment does anywhere in ireland offer the service that most clinics seem to offer in uk for hiv testing, were a small finger prick of blood is taken similar to testing for diabetes and is put into a test kit after a few mins 1 blue dot means clear 2 means a positive infection

No free clinics offer it, as it is nowhere near reliable enough to be definitive, and only tests for one not particularly common STI, when its the lesser ones that are far more common.

You can pay for it, but no matter what the result you should still get a proper test done.

http://www.stdclinic.ie/ has the kit as far as I know.
