Hi folks, did a search on the forum and couldn't find anything on this!

The fuel hoses from the fuel rail to the injectors need to be replaced on my w108. Its the bosch d jetronic system and the problem I'm having is that the end of the hose thats attached to the injector is 'clamped'.. I think its called a ferrule?? In other words, it looks like the hose cant be changed. Seems mad to be looking for new injectors when mine are fine... anyone ever have this problem?

    Jeez that was quick!

I had a look at other benz forums and couldn't find anything as close to my problem...

Its the injector end of the hose that I don't understand.. what do I do if I remove the ferrule/clamp, its a slightly different, longer ferrule on mine

Snip off the tube and see, you are going to have to get new ones if you don't ;-)

haha! Thats what I was thinking!! There must be someway of re-clamping it.. there are kits on ebay with the shorter clamp/ferrule.. I guess I'll just have to bod about a few places and see if I can get it done!

Does not matter, you can use this on both ends.

You could try Pirtek on Ballymount Rd in Dublin. They should be able to reclamp the ends for you. Make sure that you tell them that it's a fuel system as standard hydraulic hose isn't suitable to be used with fuel.

What's more confusing to me is that a W 108 doesn't have any rubber on its injector system. The only rubber pipe is the feed and return to the injector pump !

What engine have you got ??

My post was a general reply to your question on whether anyone could help with getting flaring done on your injector piping. The comment on the rubber fuel was a general comment in case you were getting further pipework made. I would suggest if you are having further difficulties, you might try mercedes for the parts

@Mercmad... I'd say you misread the thread! Easy done:) Its a w108 alright, its the fuel line to injectors. See the post above!

@cvc01.. I was actually the OP, and thanks again for the tip!

Give Eric Norton a call, he is located just outside Ballinalee in Co. Longford. I have found him excellent, and he runs a few v8's himself.
