    Hi,

I've applied for a Master's Degree in TCD, and I'm absolutely on tenterhooks waiting to find out whether I have been accepted or not.

Today my application status changed to the above - "On waiting list - no response required"

Does anybody know what this might mean? Have I missed out on the first round offers?

Yeah, you haven't been offered a place but put on the waiting list. If someone else doesn't accept the course, you may get a place.

That's what I thought, thanks. Bit disappointed but I'm still hopeful, every chance that there'll be a few who don't accept. The course says they accept late applications, so it sounds like they expect it too.

Anybody know how long you can sit on a waiting list? I am wait listed too, just wondering what my chances are, how long might I have to wait etc.

Email the contact listed for the course. If its due to start in September/October they should be able to give you a good indication of how near you are to being offered. I was waitlisted for longer than I was meant to have been and an email to the admissions person for my MSc pushed me onto an offer.

I emailed the director of my prospective course and he said I should know one way or another within a month.

Still on the waiting list for now though. Good luck with your application :D

I am still waitlisted by TCD, but got a CAO offer today. How does that work? I have already asked the TCD Admissions office, but they can be slow at replying.

I applied for a masters in TCD but my application still says 'pending' - any idea how long I will have to wait? Is there a max length of time in which a decision is made?

I got the impression from the admissions office that I could be waiting til registration time for an answer, not sure if it would be the same for post grads.
