I can see it offered at "From" £99.99 but the cheapest actual price I see is £148.93???

I picked one up shortly after the original post for £102 inc postage (€120-odd). Looks like they've run out of cheap ones :(

Great lens. I picked up one a few weeks ago for €200 in a bricks and mortar store and was happy enough at that price.

€120 delivered is a steal although it does seem they are all gone now.

Ya looks like it's all sold out at that price...might be an idea to have a bargain alert thread for camera equipment ?

Oh well. When it seems too good to be true, it usually is...

I think Im right in saying that the cheapest priced lenses are from foreign retailers, with he order "fullfilled by Amazon".

This means the lens is stocked in Amazons warehouse in the UK and shipped from there.

However if the retailer is not European, i.e. American, the warranty that accompanies the lens will only be honoured in the U.S.

Im on the threshold of purchasing a 55mm-300mm telephoto lens but the review section on Amazon is littered with people returning their purchases due to warrantys only being honoured by Nikon Japan etc.

    Something to take note of.

It appears that in this case, the item is sold by Amazon directly, rather than fulfilled through their marketplace.
